The movie I'm doing for my prop design is the new Barbie 2023 film. The Barbie movie is about Barbie and all the other dolls living in an alternate reality in Barbie Land, but then Barbie starts to question things and starts her self-discovery journey. My prop will be a poster that is framed or taped up in Barbie's bedroom in her Dream House in Barbie Land. The time/era for the Barbie Dream House in the movie uses a midcentury modern aesthetic. To match my prop to this setting/environment, I would have to go with a pink, bright, and feminine aesthetic.
